I was a candidate for Denver District Attorney from September 15, 2023 to January 9, 2024. Ultimately, though, I decided to end my campaign to endorse John Walsh. John is a proven leader and an experienced prosecutor. He has the connections and experience to bring new leadership to Denver’s criminal justice system while improving the Denver D.A.’s office by increasing the use of data analysis and finding new ways to gather input from the community. I think John will be a tremendous District Attorney.
In September 2023, I launched a campaign for Denver D.A.
I ultimately decided that I was unable to run an effective campaign while maintaining my job as a Chief Deputy District Attorney with the Denver District Attorney's Office, so I ended my campaign to support John Walsh in January of 2024.
I currently serve as a Chief Deputy District Attorney in Denver.
I believe we must ensure that the Denver District Attorney's Office helps victims, assists the needy, protects the vulnerable, and serves as a check for those in power. We must continually work do the right thing to help the People of Denver and the State of Colorado.
Evidence Based Prosecution
I support the creation of a comprehensive study to determine what types of sentences have been successful in the past. I believe we can use the results of that study to guide the efforts of the Denver District Attorney's office going forward.
